When Hannah came to South Coast, she was traumatized by severe flashbacks from incidents of sexual abuse by her mother’s boyfriends. Her mother had used drugs and worked as a prostitute. She needed treatment, counseling and a loving home environment. After three years of therapy and life in one of SCCS’s group homes, she was accepted into the county’s foster care program and subsequently placed with a loving foster family.
